Over the years, hundreds of single parents have told Frolo why they joined and what they get from it. The answer is the same every time: friendship, and being with people who understand without needing an explanation.
607 parents have applied for a sponsored Frolo membership. They told us what they wanted Frolo for, and could choose more than one answer:
About 9 in 10 said cost was why they needed a sponsored place, and about 1 in 3 mentioned loneliness.
39 members told us what they value most. 15 said connecting with others and feeling less alone, and 13 said the group chats. 85% said the app is easy to use.
Yes. In an earlier survey, 120 Frolo Dating users told us what they liked. 83% said they liked that everyone is a single parent. 67% liked the verification and safety-first approach.
"People who understand what you saying. You don't have to caveat everything you type."
"An understanding. Friends can empathise but not relate."
"I've made lifelong friends and I'm not lonely anymore."
"Connecting with other parents who get the challenges without having to explain them"
"Frolo was a lifeline for me during a very lonely time of my life"
Figures come from three Frolo sources: 607 applications for sponsored membership, a member feedback survey of 39 people, and an earlier Frolo Dating feedback survey of 120 people. Applications are reported only as totals. People chose to take part, so the results describe their views rather than all single parents. All quotes are anonymous.
